There will be a major exhibition on Edvard Munch in Madrid in the autumn of 2015. That will be the very first time since 1984 that the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza will host a major exhibition on one of the most influential Norwegian painter, Edvard Munch. Edvard Munch was a Norwegian painter and printmaker who had a huge impact on the German Expressionism in the early 20th century. One of his best know painting is The Scream from 1893.
So the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza will give home to the exhibition on Edvard Munch in which more than 80 paintings of him will be shown to the visitors. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to have a closer look on the most beautiful and breathtaking art works of Munch and you can also follow and discover the various periods of the painter. The exhibition will study the different styles and techniques the painter used on his paintings.
The exhibition on Edvard Munch will be shown at the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid from the 6th October 2015 to the 17th January 2016.
