The very first time the Museo Reine Sofia will show an overall exhibition on the collection of the Kunstmuseum Basel. The exhibition presents the Kunstmuseum Basel’s important collection of modern and contemporary art. The exhibition will show a wide selection of paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and collages from the late 19th century to the present day. Exhibition from the Kunstmuseum Basel

Picasso in PradoAn overall exhibition will be shown at the Museo del Prado in Madrid on Picasso during the spring and the summer of 2015. The exhibition will show the most breathtaking pictures of Picasso from the collection of the Kunstmuseum Basel.

Pablo Picasso is a Spanish painter, sculpture, printmaker and ceramicist who was born in 1881 and he died in 1973. Picasso is one of the most famous and most inspiring artists of the 20th century who had a great impact on the upcoming generations. At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to discover more on the works of the artist. The exhibition on Picasso presents 10 masterpieces of the artist from the collection of the Kunstmuseum Basel along side with some the Museo del Prado own pieces. The paintings shown at the exhibition are from 1906 to 1967. The exhibition on the 20th century most influential artist will be shown at the Museo del Prado at the Central Gallery in the Villanueva Building. Kiss concert in Madrid in 2015

Kiss MadridThe world famous rock band Kiss will give a concert in Madrid in 2015. Kiss is an American hard rock band which was formed in 1973. During the years the band went through some major line up changes and it currently consists Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer.

The Kiss is well known for their special appearance including their stage outfits, the face paint and the group extreme performances which includes fire breathing, blood spitting, shooting rockets, pyrotechnics and smoking guitars as well. In a short period of time the band got extremely popular and famous all around the world and it is still one of the most known and outstanding hard rock bands in the world of music. The Kiss sold over 100 million records world wide through the years which made them one of the world’s best selling musicians. From 2014 Kiss is on a world tour with The KISS 40th Anniversary World Tour. With the tour the band will give 83 shows world wide. In this occasion the band will perform in Madrid as well as in Barcelona, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Paris and Amsterdam.

AC/DC Madrid in 2015

ACDCThe world wide known Australian rock band the AC/DC will perform in the capital city of Spain in Madrid. AC/DC is an Australian hard rock band which was formed in the 1970s and the band is considered as the pioneer of hard rock.

Through the years the band went through sone major line up changes and it currently consists Angus Young, Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams, Brian Johnson and Stevie Young. During the years the band sold over 200 million records world wide which made them one of the best selling bands of all time. Even though the band was formed in 1973 AC/DC is still one of the most popular rock bands in the whole world. From May 2015 the Australian rock band will be on a world tour with the Rock or Bust World Tour which supports AC/DC’s latest album the Rock or Bust. With the tour the band will give 28 concerts in Europe including cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Berlin, Glasgow, Dublin and London.

The Madrid Marathon is one of the most popular sport events in the life of the city which will take place this year on 26th April 2015 from 9 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. The marathon is considered to be one of the major and primary athletic events not only in Madrid but in the whole country as well. The Madrid Marathon is also known as the Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon. So why is it also called Rock ‘n’ Roll Madrid Marathon?

The answer is easy: it is certainly not the easiest marathons at all because the route of the marathon is quite challenging. Every year they change the route of the marathon so it won’t get boring for anyone. Usually the route leads through some of the nicest spots of the city including the centre of the city, the old town and the famous landscapes of the city such as Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Palacio Rea.

The finish line of the race is at Retiro Park. If you want to take part of the marathon note that the registration deadline is 12th April 2015.

Another famous festival in Madrid is the ‘Festival Flamenco’. The ‘Festival Flamenco’ is a dancing competition which is accompanied with live guitar concerts. The ‘Festival Flamenco’ takes place some time in February 2015 but the exact dates are not confirmed yet.

If you are more into sports then the ‘Madrid Marathon’ is absolutely the best program for you. The annual ‘Madrid Marathon’ attracts around 13.000 runners from all over the world. This year the marathon will be held on 26th April.

In May another festival the ‘Fiesta de San Isidro’ will be held in the city. At the ‘Fiesta de San Isidro’ you can enjoy the best open air dance and theatre performances along side with the various concerts and sport competitions. The ‘Fiesta de San Isidro’ dates are not confirmed yet. In the end of November like in the other European cities the Christmas markets in Madrid will open. The markets usually open in the end of November and they are open until the end of December. At the market you can try the best traditional dishes and also do your pre-Christmas shopping.

During his solo career he released several albums and he got world wide known. Nowadays Robbie Williams is one of the most popular and well known singers of the world. During his musician career he sold over 77 million albums which made him one of the best selling singers in the UK. Robbie Williams came out with his latest album the Swings Both Ways in 2013. Williams will be on a world tour again from 2015 after his previous tour.

He will give 16 concerts in total, 14 in Europe and 2 in Asia. The Let Me Entertain You concert tour is his upcoming eleventh tour which he will open in the capital of Spain in Madrid. He will have plenty other concerts all across Europe including France, Austria, Poland and so on. The concert in Madrid will take place at Barclaycard Center – Palacio De Deportes Comunidad. Patricia Gadea exhibition

GadeaThe exhibition Atomic-Circus by Patricia Gadea will be shown at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia. Patricia Gadea was a Spanish painter who was born 1960 in Madrid and she died in 2006 in Palencia. She began her career in the 1970s.

At the exhibition visitors will have the chance to see the figurative art from Madrid in the 1980s and 1990s. Gadea in her art works used the images from the Spanish comics. The Atomic-Circus exhibition will show a wide range of paintings, drawings and selections of poster boards as well. Most of her drawings are from the 1990s until her death and most of them have never been exhibited before. At the exhibition visitors can discover more of the life of the painter and the best works from her. Most of her art work has never been shown at an exhibition and it is a perfect opportunity to explore a new world of art. The exhibition Atomic-Circus by the Spanish painter Patricia Gadea will be shown at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in the central of Madrid, Spain. The exhibition will be held from 5th November 2014 until 5th January 2015.
